This method is designed to minimize disruption to surrounding muscles and soft tissue, supporting a smoother recovery. Many patients choose this technique to regain mobility sooner, reduce pain, and return to activities they enjoy more quickly. At OSMC, Dr. Jacob R. Hinkley, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializes in advanced hip replacement techniques tailored to each patient’s needs.  - [Pickleball and Back Pain: Is It Just Muscle Soreness or More?](https://www.osmc.com/2025/11/03/pickleball-and-back-pain-is-it-just-muscle-soreness-or-more/): Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing adult activity trends, offering competitive fun with a low learning curve. Still, with the growing competitiveness of youth athletics, the number of overuse injuries in children has increased. An overuse injury in children develops gradually over time from repeated stress on muscles, joints, or bones without enough rest. These injuries differ from sudden accidents and can become more serious, leading to repeated injuries if left untreated. Because children’s bones and growth plates are still developing, they are especially at risk for long-term complications if overuse injuries are not addressed promptly. - [Sudden Joint Pain But No Injury? We discussed my options or lack of. Got a cortisone shot and out the door. Great experience with a Dr and staff with great bedside manners. Thanks again. -LB Dr. Schramm has been and done several procedures on my hands and elbow and he did an awesome job! I recovered and healed quickly and if I had any questions or concerns, Dr. Schramm always addressed them with me. Not only is he a fabulous Orthopedic surgeon, he is very kind, compassionate and caring. -JKN I saw Dr Hix today for left hip pain. I love how I can call and get an appointment within a day or 2 to see him. I have seen him multiple times over the years for neck pain and other orthopedic issues. I have also sent my husband to him and all of my 4 kids have seen him for an injury or 2 over the past many years. He always listens and gets right to a treatment option. The new office is clean and they were right on time for my appointment. Thanks for great service Dr Hix and OSMC! -RT I had a total knee replacement and OSMC was great from my first appointment to my last! Kind, friendly and professional providers and staff. I know they see tons of total knee patients and I always felt my questions were answered well (even though I knew they probably answer the same questions over and over and over). I would like to give a shout out to Leigh in PT. She pushed me to really get the best outcome for my knee. Without her I’m not sure I would have achieved as well. I also enjoyed out chats while we did my therapy. :) Also a shout out to Julie, nurse practitioner. Everyone is so friendly and efficient. I never have to wait very long and my Dr (Sonntag)is the best Dr, he really explains all my questions and has the best bedside manner. -CT I love everything about this place!
