Duties of the Patient Discharge Representative include greeting patients, processing patient payments, appointment scheduling and scanning medical records. Prior experience with customer service, medical appointment scheduling and handling money transactions is preferred. Responsible for closing in rotation with other discharge employees.
The Clinical Therapy Tech supports the physical therapists/physical therapy assistants, under the supervision of licensed therapist(s), by preparing treatment areas, materials and supplies including but not limited to documentation, appointment scheduling, setting up equipment, demonstrating proper use of equipment, sterilization of equipment, monitoring and maintaining supply inventory, applying dressings and hot or cold pack and performing opening and closing duties.
Greets callers in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Screens callers, responds to routine requests for information, service, and/or directs callers to appropriate staff. Sends communication requests to the clinical staff by completing appropriate intake templates, scheduling, canceling, or rescheduling appointments. Contacts patients with referrals, authorized injections, etc.
Acts as an interpreter for Spanish speaking patients. Coordinates external language services and hearing-impaired services to patients. Translates English written documents into Spanish as needed. Must be able to communicate (verbally and in writing) efficiently in Spanish and English.
Duties include processing overpayments, requesting refund checks and distributing unapplied payments to patient’s accounts. A good understanding of medical insurance and payor contracts is preferred.
Minimum 2 years operating room experience. Prior circulating experience required; scrubbing experience preferred. Current IN RN license and BLS is required. ACLS is preferred.
OSMC seeks a Lead Surgery Scheduling Registered Nurse. We work Monday through Friday. Duties of the Lead Surgery Scheduling RN include but are not limited to: bi-weekly timecard review, performance reviews, interviewing new staff, assisting with any needed staff disciplinary reviews and preparing the surgery scheduling department’s calendar. The LSS-RN will also meet with OSMC patients to plan a surgery date, evaluate the patient’s medical history, diagnosis and medications to determine the needed testing and evaluation for their orthopedic surgery, anesthesia, etc. The individual will review incoming testing and clearances, then initiate needed actions. They will communicate with Elkhart General Hospital’s chart review staff, provide patient education for post-surgery, set up patient post-op appointments and more. The Lead Surgery Scheduling RN will coordinate with the director of the ambulatory surgery center, along with anesthesia professionals, principal staff and others to facilitate surgical procedures. This position will also work in the orthopedic phone room as needed to answer patient questions, etc. Comprehensive and compassionate care is provided to our patients.
PTA to provide dynamic, one-on-one musculoskeletal therapy under the supervision of experienced physical therapists in a busy outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice. Applicants should be reliable, a team player, possess strong communicative interpersonal skills while displaying professionalism and empathy during patient care. In addition, they must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program and licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapy assistant in Indiana. Outpatient orthopedic experience is a plus, but new graduates with special interest in outpatient ortho will be considered. Travel to other offices required.
Seeking staff Physical Therapist for outpatient orthopedic clinic. Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but new graduates will be considered! Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy and eligible for Indiana licensure.
Job duties include performing and participating in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization and storage of surgical instrumentation and equipment. Two years of prior experience is preferred
Two to four years of pre-post experience preferred. Current IN RN license and BLS is required. ACLS is preferred. PRN.
The Surgery Tech at the OSMC Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is required to have their BLS. Two years of experience, prior ortho/spine experience, is preferred. High school diploma along with the completion of an accredited surgical technology program is required.
