ASC Radiologic Technologist - PRN - ASC Granger

This person will be performing fluoroscopic procedures employing equipment, primarily C-Arms, which emit ionizing radiation. This person must perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply a prescribed amount of radiation for the purpose of obtaining optimal fluoroscopic pictures for interventional pain procedures. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program. Current Indiana license as a Radiologic Technologist required. Current registration with the ARRT required.

Position Summary

The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Revenue Specialist is responsible for a variety of revenue cycle functions, including patient billing, charge entry, payment posting, insurance claim processing, collections, and claims follow-up. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement while providing excellent customer service to patients, insurance carriers, and internal staff. This role will work exclusively with patients over the telephone assisting the patient on their billing processes.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment supporting two surgery center locations. Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills are essential.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming patient inquiries and respond to insurance company questions.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving patient billing concerns and account discrepancies.
  • Ensure appropriate collection of copayments, prepayments, deductibles, and self-pay balances.
  • Monitor patient accounts and assist with payment arrangements as needed.
  • Review, code, process, and submit insurance claims accurately and timely.
  • Research and follow up on outstanding insurance claims to secure reimbursement.
  • Enter surgical charges and verify accuracy of insurance and patient information.
  • Correct claim errors and facilitate submission of clean claims.
  • Post incoming insurance and patient payments accurately and promptly.
  • Prepare claims for rebilling, reconsideration, or appeal when necessary.
  • Appeal payment denials, underpayments, and incorrect insurance adjustments.
  • Verify and process patient and insurance refunds.
  • Gather and provide medical records for patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and courts as authorized.
  • Respond to internal billing inquiries through telephone and email communication.

The Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) shall provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal patient results. The CSFA shall perform these functions during the operation under the direction and supervision of the surgeon and following appropriate laws and regulations. Insurance Representative - Full Time - Elkhart (Fulton Street)

Responsibilities include coding and processing insurance claims, reviewing claims for accuracy and completeness, and correcting or completing claim forms as needed. This position is responsible for researching claim issues, entering data into the insurance claims processing system, and following up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement to ensure the proper payment process for the company.

Additional duties include preparing claims for resubmission or appeal when necessary, resolving billing discrepancies, and working with insurance carriers to obtain claim status updates and payment information. This will require a great deal of telephone skills and the person must be comfortable working off a telephone with strong customer service skills to find the needle in the haystack.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Prior medical insurance claims experience is a MUST. Knowledge of insurance regulations, claim submission processes, and medical terminology is highly desirable. This role does require a minimum of a GED/High School Diploma to apply.

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Full Time - Elkhart

This position will report directly to the practice physicians, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Chief Operating Officer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document accurate patient information to support quality patient care and clinical decision-making.
  • Respond to patient phone calls and portal messages regarding increased pain, postoperative concerns, prescription refills, scheduling, treatment updates, and other clinical questions.
  • Educate patients regarding their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and provider recommendations.
  • Coordinate prescription refills, medication samples, and prior authorizations under physician direction.
  • Document patient interactions thoroughly and accurately within the electronic medical record.

A Patient Services Representative will greet patients/visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Our Pre-Post RN’s will be responsible for providing friendly, caring and professional nursing care for pre-operative, post operative and pain management patients, following established standards and practices. The RN’s will monitor and assess patient conditions throughout the pre-post period and report any unusual symptoms, occurrences or discrepancies to the Lead CRNA, Clinical Manager, ASC Director, Anesthesiologist or Physicians.
