A native of Lagrange County, Indiana, Dr. Skyler King joined OSMC in 2022.

Dr. King graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology & Physiology with Highest Distinction in 2012 and went on to earn his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016 where he graduated in the Top 3% of his class.

After completing his orthopedic surgical residency with Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio in 2021, Dr. King completed an ACGME certified orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, a practice in Ohio, where he served as a Team Physician for the Cincinnati Reds, Wittenberg University, Wilmington College as well as Moeller and Madeira High Schools.

His areas of specialized expertise include advanced arthroscopic surgery, cartilage restoration including MACI and osteochondral allografts, meniscal repair, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization procedures including labral repair and Latarjet, hip, knee and shoulder knee reconstruction in addition to work-related injuries.

Dr. King is board-eligible with the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Gold Humanism Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa.

When Dr. King isn’t helping patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. His hobbies and interests include youth development, fitness training, skiing, fishing and sports.
