What is Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery?
Arthroscopic shoulder surgery is a non-invasive shoulder procedure known to diagnose and treat joint problems. Unlike traditional shoulder surgery procedures, arthroscopic shoulder surgery is a specialized procedure that inserts a tiny camera, called arthroscope through small incisions. Arthroscope helps provide a clear view to diagnose and repair joint damage such as bicep tendon conditions, cartilage tears, rotator cuff tears or tendonitis, and shoulder arthritis.
At OSMC, we frequently use arthroscopy to treat:
- Shoulder Arthritis
- Rotator Cuff Injuries & Tears
- Shoulder Fractures

Most patients safely return to driving between 2 to 6 weeks after the arthroscopic surgery. The exact timeline depends on the specific nature of your arthroscopic procedure. To safely operate and drive after an arthroscopic surgery it's important to meet clinical milestones, and to consult with your doctor for individualized clearance.
