This “support system” is called the OSMC HURT! app. Communication is done via the OSMC – HURT! application that users install on their mobile phone or tablet. Personal computer users can also access the service.
When an acute injury occurs, such as a pain, sprain or break, OSMC – HURT! users can quickly co
nnect to a live orthopedic specialist for help. The app allows the user to send messages and photos back and forth to the specialist. The immediate consultation can help in understanding the severity of the injury and the necessary steps to take, such as going to the emergency room right away, waiting for an office appointment or visiting an orthopedic walk-in clinic.
